As a young mother, I went to a small design school in Portland, Oregon while I was working in art gallery and raising three children. I had been inspired by my brother's success as an interior designer and decided to join him. In the beginning I was the business coordinator and assisted him with his clients. After his passing, I was suddenly faced with running the business as well as the design side of things on my own.

It was important for Wedgwood Interiors to continue on, not only to honor my brother's legacy, but also, by that time our store had become a vital part of community. The store, upholstery shop and custom drapery workroom became the center of my life and passion. Over time I asked Chloe Rees to work with me, expanding the store's ability to address our growing customer base.

A vital part of my work integrates the resources of the Seattle Design Center where I am a member. I often take my clients to explore the vast richness of fabric, furniture and accessories available in south Seattle. The showroom offerings hold endless opportunities to discover beautiful objects in the realm of home and office enhancement and design.

My husband Steve Whitman has worked with Ellsworth Builders since it began in 1991. I enjoy meeting people wherever I go and living life to the fullest. Each year I attend the Harmony Hill retreat for cancer survivors and belong to a breast cancer group.

In 2007 I began to model for Macy's, fulfilling a lifelong dream. A year later I began volunteering as a model for Goodwill's Vintage Fashion Collection. Along with Wedgwood Interiors, in 2010 I launched Geez Collection, light outerwear and accessories. From opera sleeves to faux fur vests, Geez Collection celebrates my love of fashion and fun.
